Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Socialyte account and associated personal data at any time. Socialyte Labs Inc. operates the Socialyte mobile app and related services at thesocialyte.com.
How to request deletion
Email (recommended):
Send a message from the email address linked to your Socialyte account to support@thesocialyte.com with the subject line Account deletion request.
Please include:
- Your Socialyte username
- The email address used to sign in
- A brief confirmation that you want your account and data deleted
Parents or guardians may request deletion of a minor's account by emailing legal@thesocialyte.com.
What we delete
When your deletion request is processed, we delete or anonymize, where applicable:
- Your profile (username, bio, profile photo, voice bio, and account settings)
- Videos and other content you uploaded
- Comments, reactions, and social interactions tied to your account
- Feed preferences, referral data, and push notification tokens
- Other personal information stored in your account
What may be kept
We may retain limited information when required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Payment and payout records processed through Stripe (tips, subscriptions, creator earnings)
- Records needed for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance
- Information we are required to keep by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you
Backup copies in our systems may take additional time to clear. Cached media on your device can be removed immediately through app settings.
How long deletion takes
We aim to confirm receipt of your request within a few business days and complete deletion within 90 days, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve an active dispute, safety issue, or fraud investigation.
